Don't know what to listen on your headphones? With Whatlisten there's a world of music at your reach, listen to songs from your favorite bands on Android

Download and listen to music with this cute player

Spotify is cool, really cool, but it also has its limitations. Especially if you are one of those users who do not want to become a subscriber. And even more if you intend to use the app on your mobile device. There are all kinds of solutions, from the most illegal options to paying for everything you listen to. Whatlisten (any similarities to WhatsApp are purely coincidental) lies in the middle, an attractive tool to be able to listen and download music directly on your smartphone or tablet.

OK, but how does it work?

Well, the first thing you need to do is figure out where to get it because Whatlisten isn't available on the Play Store. To install it, you need to enable the option that allows installing applications from unknown sources. But you probably already know this fact.

Once you open the new app, you have two options: search for what you want to hear or add your music to lists. You can search for anything you want, although the application will offer you a list to help you get your bearings:

  • Best Songs (includes recommendations, your history and the songs you listen to the most).
  • genres.
  • playlist.
  • Best Artists.
  • Best Albums.

After you've done your search, you can add the best titles to your favorites and add or remove them from lists. The cool thing about this app is that within each song you can see its lyrics over a blurred image of the album. You can choose to play each song once, repeat it, add it to favorites, show songs and artists with a similar style, enable shuffle, and click on related videos to be accessed on YouTube.

But that is not all. See the arrow that appears in the top left corner of the toolbar? You just have to tap it to start downloading the song to the device you are using without any delay. Aside from that, the app can be pretty messy until you get the hang of it.
