Smartify

Smartify is an application for Android that lets us visit museums and use our camera to scan works of art to immediately receive information about them.

Scan artworks and discover the story behind them

Most of us find that when we go to a museum, we don't know too much about the history behind the well-known works, or even have trouble identifying them... And not just in exceptional cases, but even with the most famous works. Let's not kid ourselves. However, we can download the Smartify app that will help us know everything we don't know.

Explore the images with a “pocket guide”

This app creates the possibility for the user to use the phone's camera to scan images and immediately get information about the identified work, e.g. B. Author, period to which it belongs, artistic analysis... In addition to this, there are links to further information on sites such as Wikipedia. There is also a large database of painters and their works. So if you want to delve into the artist's legacy, you can easily do so.

Here are the main features offered by this app:

• Access commentary and audio information when available.
• Save the scanned artworks in your history.
• Create a user profile to save data about your activities.
• Find museums near you where you can use the app.

Of course, keep in mind that there are images that are subject to copyright. Therefore, the app can only be used in the specified museums. You can see what they are on the Explore tab.
