OLIO is an application for donating and receiving food and other items that people have at home and no longer need. This way we can help people do a good deed, fight food waste and get food for free.

It works very simply. If you have food that you are not going to eat, just take a picture and enter a short description. It only takes a few seconds.

The post will appear in a list where we can see what's on offer in our area. Most of the things are requested in less than two hours. If someone sends us a request, all we have to do is arrange a pick-up time.

The purpose of this is to give away food we won't eat and various items that would otherwise end up in the trash. Besides, we can also find free things that we like.

Also, this app includes user ratings and a system of awards (badges) to reward our altruistic actions. This platform is wonderful and allows us to help the environment, our neighbors and ourselves, as well as get free food if we need it.
