With ProxyDroid you will be able to set up a proxy server in order to protect your privacy when accessing different apps or websites from your Android.

Configure a proxy on your Android

Many users prefer to remain anonymous and protect their privacy when surfing the web or accessing their apps. For this, there is nothing better than configuring a proxy on the mobile phone, which acts as an intermediary between the user's device and the server to which it connects.

One of the simplest solutions for Android is ProxyDroid, a fully open source proxy configurator compatible with HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5. However, this tool requires rooting to access all of its features. Although the operation is simple, it requires prior adjustments that may not be possible for the user.

Key Features

Once the APK is installed and the device is rooted, the following features can be accessed to configure the mobile proxy:

  • Compatible with major proxy protocols such as HTTP, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5.
  • Support for NTLM and NTLMv2 authentication methods.
  • Possibility to create different usage profiles.
  • Option to configure proxy only for specific apps or application groups.
  • Turn proxy on and off using a simple widget.
