Chess Clock is an Android application to use as a clock during your chess matches. It comes along with several time control and game movement formats

clock for playing chess

Although we can control the timing of moves in a chess game using traditional clocks, it's much easier if we use an application of the likes of Chess Clock. As you can probably guess from its name, it's an application that offers us the possibility of controlling the time that each player uses during his turn, available in different formats and even allowing us to create customized time control systems configure.

A clock for your chess games

How it works is very simple: when the game starts, the clock starts ticking, and when a player ends his turn, he has to press the clock to start his opponent's countdown. These are the main features built into the app:

  • Large, easy-to-read buttons.
  • Works in both landscape and portrait modes on all devices.
  • Can be easily configured for one-tap access to all control modes.
  • Time controls include minutes per player, optional delay per move, and bonus time, among others.
  • The clock will stop automatically when the application is interrupted.

The app can be used both on physical chess boards and in the chess app developed by Chess.com, the same people behind this application.
