Grim Quest is a tactical roguelike RPG with 2D graphics. Here we play the role of a mercenary hired by the mayor of the city of Ashborne to protect her from enemies.

Before starting the game we can set the level of difficulty and decide if we want to play with a permanent death system. Then we have to choose a font and create our character, including avatar, name and familiar animal.

But what's really cool is that we also have to choose the origin of the character, like e.g. B. Aristocrat, Bounty Hunter, Runaway Slave, Sailor, Blind Prophet, etc. All of course have their pros and cons.

To play the game we have to navigate through the menus and scroll through the maps. In the dungeons we will encounter fears and enemies with which we will fight in turn-based battles. If we are victorious, we will be rewarded with experience points and useful items.

All this makes for a refreshing and interesting game that offers something new. Above all, players of previous generations will feel addressed by it.
