The classic board game with augmented reality

New technologies such as augmented reality have managed to reinvent certain areas such as buying furniture, real estate or even games, and we're not just talking about Pokémon Go or Ingress. A game as classic as Pictionary, which is about nothing more than getting someone to discover what concept the player is trying to capture through drawing, can take on a new dimension with AR.

With the Pictionary Air app and the pen that Mattel sells for this game, the drawings are no longer made on the typical paper, but instead you can draw directly in the air, project the drawing onto the TV, or view it on your phone. Also, by drawing in the "real world" you can join the action and interact with your drawings to make it easier for your partner to guess the charade.

Most important properties

• The app records scores, timing and lap planning.
• It includes two game modes: Game mode, where you can choose the duration and number of rounds, and Selfi mode, where you can play draws without a stopwatch.
• Participants can record, edit and share videos of the game.
