A music game that challenges your sense of rhythm

Friday Night Funkin' is a 2010 game that has had some success in its PC versions and has now been adapted for Android by popular request. Now, more than ten years later, it's exploding on platforms like TikTok and Twitch, where thousands of users are playing the game, imitating the moves and dances in highly original videos.

In case you don't already know, we'll explain briefly what it is: it's a musical game in which your mission is to get a kiss from your girlfriend... but for that you'll have to convince her father first. How? Well, in the most logical way... by singing in rap battles, which has always been known as cockfighting.

Follow the rhythm of the music and defeat all characters.

Apart from the morally questionable approach (I guess the girl's opinion doesn't matter here), this is a game of skill. We'll have to follow the arrows on the screen to push the buttons in the right direction, following the indicated rhythm, in the style of the classic arcade dance machines.

With the movements we make to the rhythm of the music, the character will rap against the father. Also keep an eye on the bottom status bar, which shows how close we are to winning or losing. Week by week, or level by level, we'll see how the plot progresses and how our character has to face new challenges and new struggles to continue his struggle for love.

In general, this FnF offers good graphics and above all a simple and addictive gameplay, very easy to follow and with straightforward controls. In case you have doubts, there is a tutorial. There are also two game modes: an endlessly rhyming free one and a story mode where you can face one character at a time as long as you manage to defeat them.

Finally, we have to add that it's an open source game, so many developers create mods with their own version of the story, with new characters or with different music for example.
