Square Enix's epic title comes to Android

Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is the prequel to the RPG for Nintendo Switch and PC. That's why downloading the APK file of this title invites us to return to Orsterra and discover the origins of the heroes of this world.

An extraordinary adventure with a retro touch

Before the adventure begins, we meet the chosen one and learn the first steps and basic processes. Also, from the three available stories, we must choose the one we want to follow. All you have to do is answer one question: Are you looking for wealth, power or fame? Of course, later we can enjoy all the storylines.

One of the most interesting aspects of this title is the combat, which is turn-based in classic Final Fantasy style. You can take up to eight different characters and strategically place them in offensive and defensive positions. You'll only have four heroes to start with, but it won't be long before you can recruit more.

The technical side of Octopath Traveler: CotC also deserves a special mention. The retro 2D pixel art style graphics is combined with beautiful artwork and outstanding character design. There is also an extraordinary soundtrack by Yasunori Nishiki.

In short, as you would expect from a Square Enix game, the result is a true marvel. However, it's a little gem to be savored in slow sips, as the development isn't exactly dynamic or suited to players in a hurry.
