The best app for listening to police frequencies

Police Scanner is an application that allows us to listen to different police communication radio channels directly from our Android. The best thing about the app is that it's live. It's obviously an online application that doesn't use FM or AM (that would be totally impossible), so we need a data plan or at least a WiFi connection.

When you use the application for the first time, you will be surprised that it actually works and that it is not your typical old application that does nothing or just tries to insert ads or inject malware. But it really works, and it works very well: we can listen to the national or federal police or other police units that are on duty in our country.

However, not all frequencies are always active. Sometimes nothing happens. In this case, just change the frequency to look for a busier channel.

How do you listen to police radio frequencies?

There are several ways to search for channels in this app to listen to police radio stations, but they are all very simple. There is almost one for every country/city. There are two methods to search for frequencies:

• Search by city.
• search for popularity.

There is also a tab where we can see the channels that we have marked as favorites and listen to them immediately or remove them if we are no longer interested.

The application is great and we can keep listening to the radio even in the background. If we access another application, we can continue listening to it without any problems, unless we access an audio-focused application of the likes of YouTube.
