NetHunter is a tool which serves to submit to continuous resistance and penetration tests to wireless networks that break up the Kali Linux distribution.

Efficient pentesting application for Android

The Kali Linux distribution has a set of tools designed to test all types of systems and connections. There's a version for Android called NetHunter thanks to which we'll be able to perform many of these functions from an Android device.

It must be said that this tool was developed for legitimate purposes. In other words, it is intended for all those who work in networks and take care of their security. Thanks to it, they can carry out various testing and security tests, testing the resilience that these have to support external attacks.

Requirements and further information:

  • Requires a rooted device.
  • In principle it is designed for Nexus, ZTE, OnePlus, Gemini and Samsung devices, although it might work in other devices as well.
  • Although some antivirus programs show it as malware, the application does not pose any threat. It is characterized by the nature of its functions.
  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 5.0.
  • Installing the app using the APK file requires enabling the "Unknown Sources" option in Settings > Applications.
