Setbeat is an Android application that can be used to listen to online music free of charge and that also allows us to download it and play it offline.

Although nowadays it's very easy to listen to music online thanks to applications of the likes of Spotify or Deezer, some people still prefer to resort to free platforms of dubious legality. There are plenty of them on the web, and one of them is this Setbeat for Android.

This app allows us to play music via streaming, just like the services mentioned above. In addition, it also offers features like downloading songs and albums for offline listening. While the catalog isn't as extensive as the competition's with millions of songs, it's still a great alternative for those who don't want or can't pay a monthly fee.

Free online music on your Android

After installing the APK file, you'll quickly notice that its interface is suspiciously reminiscent of Spotify. So if you're familiar with this application, you won't have any trouble getting to grips with Setbeat. You'll soon discover how you can use the internal search engine to search for tracks, albums, artists or follow whoever you want, but also play music in the background or download music. From the playback controls, to the artist or album cover image on the playback screen, to thumbnails in playlists, you'll be instantly familiar with it.

The content is organized by artists, top charts and genres, and you can use all the filters to find the song you want from different genres: rock, pop, rap, trap, electronic, funk, soul...

How to register

As you can imagine, you won't find this app in the Google Play Store (same for iOS, it's not in the App Store). You'll have to go to their website, which we link to from here, or alternative stores like Aptoide or APKPure. By the way, if you're looking for a PC version, you don't need to download anything: there's a web version that you can run in your browser.

Creating a Setbeat account is really easy:

1. Step 1: You have to go to the login section of the menu.
2. Step 2: Click Register. You can register the application with Facebook or an email account.
3. Step 3: Once you have registered, all you have to do is log in by clicking on the Facebook login button or by entering your username and password.

If you like a song and want to share it with others, you can do so on Facebook and Twitter so all your friends can see it. You can also mark a song as a favorite to make it easier to keep track of.

To install the application you just have to download the APK file. However, remember that you need to authorize the download and installation of apps from unknown sources on your phone's settings screen, which is a requirement for downloading apps that aren't available in the Google Play Store.
