In Harvest Land you can colonize a territory by building houses and securing the necessary resources with farms where you can raise animals and cultivate.

The job of a colonizer is not easy. Going anywhere and claiming what is yours by divine right or by that of your holy ***ers requires efforts such as subduing the natives or tilling the land from scratch to provide you with resources. While on Harvest Land we will not annihilate the land's rightful inhabitants, we will have to do what we can to settle down and develop a community blessed by white man civilization and Christianity.

This game takes place in an archipelago of islands that hides all sorts of secrets and offers endless resources to exploit. Our goal is to build cities, cultivate fields, and raise animals on farms that will allow us to get the food we need so we don't die of starvation, dysentery, scurvy, or who knows what plague brought on by an apparently not very merciful God to whom we don't pray enough is sent.

Well, the thing is that we are dealing with a full-fledged farming game combined with resource management and city development. You have to explore the area, till the fields and raise animals to unlock milestones that will help you in your development.
