Mojang is back and now plans to bring its sandbox universe to the real world thanks to augmented reality in Minecraft Earth. Craft and build in real life

Minicraft in the real world

A new revolution developed by Mojang has arrived in the sandbox world. The developers of Minecraft brought their big hit to the real world by introducing us to Minecraft Earth, a free AR building game in which players can make the most of all the tools and materials from this universe, but now in their backyard , in the park or even in bed.

The world of Minecraft in augmented reality

If you give this new crafting format a chance, you can make the most of different gaming experiences:

  • An open world to explore, looking for materials to build and craft objects.
  • The ability to watch the built structures grow in real time, both yours and those of other users.
  • Games and adventures to find around the map so you can find certain rarer materials.
  • The ability to share creations with other players to improve the social aspect of this universe.
  • Minecraft's beasts and enemies are part of the real world and can interact with players thanks to AR.

If 2016 was the year of Pokémon GO, it looks like we'll fall for the same phenomenon in 2019 and 2020: millions of people roaming the streets with their eyes glued to their smartphones. Instead of catching Pokémons, they will craft and fight in the Minecraft universe.
