Real-time strategy in the wild west

We already knew that real-time strategy games, or RTS for short, can be perfectly transferred to the Android world. Clash of Clans proves it. On this occasion we'll take a look at a game that at first glance might seem less demanding. Despite this, you can be sure that it will keep you hooked to your Android device for a long time. And, there's no denying it, it's a game that, despite its looks, pleasantly surprised me.

Let me explain. When I first see a game with graphics that convey a certain childish aspect, I can't help but react in one of two ways: either I assume it's a game for kids, or I assume it's a game that was badly done. We can safely say that neither of these apply to Guns 'n' Glory. After testing it, we have a feeling that even the most experienced RTS gamers will like it, as well as casual gamers and newbies.

There's something the game lets you know as soon as you start playing it: it's going to be a tough ride. Not because it's particularly difficult to play (although the difficulty of the advanced levels can cause a few headaches), but because it's extremely stressful to play. This is perhaps the best mechanic adapted for an RTS originally designed to be played on PC.

A very special RTS for Android

One of the features of any decent game of this genre is resource gathering. With these resources you can create new units, construct new buildings or upgrade your troops and defenses. Usually, in order to get these resources, you have to order the avatars under your command to go to a certain place to collect them.

In this game, you get the resources by attacking a series of objectives that the game throws in your way. This will give you money, which you can then use to hire new bandits for your gang in each new scenario. Additionally, winning skirmishes can earn you extra gold.
