Kung Fury: Street Rage

The memorable characters of the Swedish fantasy film continue their wild adventures in Kung Fury: Street Rage, a curious retro beat-'em-up arcade game.

Kickstarter-funded David Sandberg's short film hit Netflix and exceeded all expectations. The whimsical way in which he pokes fun at the action film and martial arts genre from a retro perspective won over nostalgics and film fans alike.

The same sarcastic, wacky and funny charm is carried over to the official mobile game. It's a fun adventure in which we'll be able to slap several characters from the movie. We just have to download the APK file to start the experience.

Kung Fury, Triceracop and Barbarianna at your service

Kung Fury: Street Rage is a spectacular game of the beat'em up genre (also: brawler) in which we'll fight with the characters of the movie against Nazis and other villains. There are two game modes: Story and Infinite.

The story mode is made up of five most entertaining chapters in which we can live a new adventure with the characters from the film, who are also voiced with the voices of the original actors. In the infinite mode we can choose between Kung Fury, Triceracop and Barbarianna and destroy Nazis with their own weapons.

The rules of the game are pretty simple. To score a hit we just have to touch the side of the screen that we want to attack. The more consecutive attacks we manage, the more points we will collect.

However, the coolest thing about this impressive game is that it's inspired by the arcade machines of the 80's. In fact, we will continue the game on one of these rounded screens (in virtual format). And that's really cool. Not only is it a game with a retro aesthetic, the gameplay is also totally retro.
