Microsoft's email client for mobile devices isn't known for being lightweight. Therefore, it does not work well on certain devices or on unstable networks. To solve this problem, the company offers a lite or stripped down version of the application. But how is it different from the normal version?

The most important thing from the app condensed into a handful of megabytes

Microsoft Outlook Lite is the slimmed-down version of Microsoft's email client. It's a functional tool that takes up little space, consumes little battery, is optimized for slow connections and is designed for phones with 1GB of RAM. In other words, it's a sort of miniature Outlook that's more agile, faster, and simpler than the original.

The advantage is that the app includes the most important services of the platform: email, calendar and contacts. Also, it is compatible with Hotmail, Outlook, Live, MSN, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange email.

The only downside is that this app is currently only available in a few countries. Luckily, users in the rest of the world who need a stripped down version of this email client just need to download the free APK file to use its services on their mobile devices.
