Turn your phone into a server

If you have an old Android phone laying around at home and want to give it some kind of utility, why not turn it into a server? It may sound a bit complicated, but thanks to the Servers Ultimate application you can create a mobile server from which you can share files with your friends, create a Mr. Robot-style honeypot or use it as a media server.

If you think about it, turning an old phone into a home server, despite the small storage space, has its advantages: it's small, fits anywhere, and consumes very little energy.

Compatible servers

Once we've downloaded the APK, this application will allow us to run instances of over 60 different types of servers with more than 70 different protocols on our smartphone or tablet, including the following types of servers:

• HTTP/HTTPS
• MySQL
• DHCP
• MongoDB
• Node.js
• PHP
• Telnet
• VPN

In addition to all the latter, it comes with a host of networking tools, including a port scanner, MySQL monitor, whois, and traceroute. it's obviously not an application for regular users, but it's great for developers. If we want to try to create our own server on our phone, this is the right application.
