The TV series Stranger Things has stirred tempers with its wonderful horror story. She appeals to nostalgia and takes us back to when the 80's were still cool. Now Netflix invites us on a similar journey, but with video games, offering us a retro adventure starring our beloved heroes.

Stranger Things: 1984 is a fantastic official RPG with 2D pixel graphics. The game idea is very nice because the developers took inspiration from the classic games of the 80's and 90's (like the Zelda saga) to create an extraordinary game.

The story takes us back to 1984 and is inspired by the second season of the series. We start the adventure by accompanying Sheriff Hopper to explore the mysterious laboratory, but it won't be long before we uncover the rest of the gang of children. The great thing is that each of them has a special ability and we have to combine them to advance.

Of course, we also visit other legendary locations from the series, such as Mirkwood Forest and Upside Down. The experience gives us about ten hours of gameplay, during which we explore six dungeons and complete 30 quests using the seven characters available.

There are also two difficulty modes, lots of collectibles (mainly Eggos and Gnomes), Easter Eggs, references to the series and lots of puzzles. And everything indicates that they will continue to update the game as new seasons are released.

The game is completely free and there are no in-app purchases. However, apart from downloading the APK file, you must be a Netflix subscriber as you will be asked for your login details before you can start playing the game. But if you're into retro games, it's worth it.
