Randonautica is great proof that virality and tall tales often go hand in hand. This supposed game has managed to go viral in recent weeks with disturbing rumors that have caused panic across the internet.

It's an app that provides random coordinates within a set radius. Its users or randonauts must go to these coordinates to explore and discover locations of four different types: anomalies, intentions, gaps and paranormal situations.

The Randonautica Controversy

Of course, this is just an app that picks random locations using GPS without any logic. However, the internet phenomenon has managed to spread brutal rumours.

For example, after following the app's coordinates, a group of kids reportedly found a body in a suitcase and shared their experience on TikTok. Another user claims that by following the paranormal situation coordinates, he met a strange woman speaking in an unknown language. And if you search the internet, you'll find a few more testimonies of the weirdest, most absurd, "revealing" and whatever kind. If you want to walk and play at the same time, you'd better stick to Pokémon Go.
