If you download the xScan APK file, any phone will turn into a portable scanner with a very simple editor. It also has a number of interesting additional tools, but how does it work?

How to scan documents with mobile phone

To scan documents with this tool, all you have to do is take a photo. In this sense, the app is very similar to a regular camera, but the software specializes in capturing well-defined texts. In addition, in the "Scanning" section we can choose between documents, ID cards and passports. You can even scan QR codes with it.

Once the photo is taken, the image editor will open. With the free version we can crop the image and make basic adjustments (filters, brightness and contrast). However, the premium version also includes an OCR converter and digital signature of documents.

All in all, it's a good tool to get out of the way and delivers quite acceptable results. What doesn't pay that well is the paid version, which isn't even suitable for professional use.
