WhatsApp Lite is a MOD of the ubiquitous messaging application that offers users various functions and features that they won't find in the official version for now. It is very similar to FMWhatsApp as its development is built on top of it.

Although WhatsApp has improved a lot recently by introducing interesting features, there are still quite a number of users worldwide who fall short when it comes to chatting. Those who are looking for new features to personalize their user experience, such as wallpapers, fonts, themes or managing certain aspects of privacy.

The interface is as sober as that of the original app, but we can access some special functions. If we drop down the options menu we will find an option that will take us to the FMMods menu. These are some of the features it offers:

• Themes to customize the user interface.
• User status with more characters.
• Voice changer for spoken messages.
• New emoji and sticker packs.
• No loss of quality when sending images.
• Password protection for conversations.

If you were expecting it to be a true lite version that would use less memory and your device's resources, unfortunately it isn't. In this regard, you won't find much difference from WhatsApp Messenger or most WhatsApp Messenger MODs out there.

• Installing the app using the APK file requires enabling the "Unknown Sources" option in Settings > Applications.
