How to measure decibels with your cell phone

Decibel X is a noise level meter for mobile phones. According to the developers, its features are optimized for professional use as it has calibrated and reliable accuracy.

To find out the noise level of an environment, simply touch the green button on the meter. The system records all sounds during recording and displays the average frequency and maximum level. A scale is also displayed so we can see at a glance what level of noise has been recorded (whisper, car, subway, chainsaw, plane...).

But that is not all. We can also use it to take photos or videos with reports on the noise level, including the date, time and location. On the other hand, it has a noise dosimeter, a sound level meter that measures the noise exposure the handset picks up.

And all this is presented in an elegant and intuitive interface with lots of technical details, data and charts. And there are even two themes (light and dark). Without a doubt, it is a very practical and useful app.
