SEGA's classic beat 'em up

Remember when you had to download a ROM to play Altered Beast on your phone? Now you don't need emulators for the Mega Drive or other video consoles because SEGA has finally released a version for Android smartphones and tablets (and if you want to play it on your PC you don't need to download an APK because there is a native one version for Windows).

This beat'em up was released in 1988 for arcade machines and was also a big hit on other platforms like the Master System, Mega Drive or Spectrum. The Japanese company has relaunched it as part of its SEGA Forever collection, which also includes remastered classics for mobile phones, including iPhone.

This arcade game is about hitting anything that moves. It is set in the world of classical Greek mythology, with the undead and other beings from Hades that must be defeated in order to save Athena. It's a consistent and complex plot that's almost unbeatable and that introduces us to one of the best games of the beat'em up genre: the main character will face off against dozens of enemies that she'll have to defeat with kicks and punches.
