Google Play Books for Android is a great app for reading enthusiasts: it's the eReader where you can read the books you've purchased on Google Play.

Google Play is the store where you can find all the different digital products sold by Google. From applications for Android to songs and films to books. The latter are grouped together on the platform called Google Play Books and this is the Android app that gives you direct access to this service.

eReader and bookstore in one application

The truth is that it's an eReader that offers us a comfortable reading experience for the books we've bought and comes with audiobook support. It has a simple interface, similar to the rest of the smartphone and web applications developed by the Californian company.

But in addition to allowing us to read books, as we'll explain below, it also offers us a shortcut to the store, from where we can buy and download millions of volumes of all kinds and genres.

The following are the main features and functions of this application:

• Take notes on the books, sync them to Google Drive and share them with other users.

As we mentioned, the interface is really simple, with a shortcut to the application's home screen, your personal library, bookstore, and search function at the bottom of the screen. The latter is one of the most interesting options, since it allows us to browse the entire Google Play Books catalog to look for the book of your choice or simply get suggestions.
