Houseclub is an Android version of Clubhouse, although not official. With it you will be able to participate in chat rooms as in the popular social network

Unofficial Android version of Clubhouse

If there's one social network that's been talked about in 2020, it's without a doubt Clubhouse. Thanks to its chat room format, but also because of the exclusivity that came with participating (you can only access it by invitation) and because of the popularity that celebrity like Elon Musk brought it as a user. At the time of writing, it is still restricted area for Android users as only iPhone users can use it.

Clubhouse for Android? No, but it's close

And of course there are many Android users who have tried to sign up but there is no official version and moreover there are dozens of fake apps claiming to be official. Houseclub doesn't try to impersonate it, but it offers users a format similar to Clubhouse. Here you can find chat rooms where you can listen to members talking (at least those who have permission to do so) or follow other users. In order to participate, you need an invitation from a user who is in the clubhouse.

Is that the best alternative? Well, while we still don't have the official app for Android, it's not bad for now... although there are still aspects to be tweaked in development. However, the person responsible admits that it won't be necessary to invest more time than the time already invested, since there will eventually be an official app for Android.

Requirements and further information:

  • Minimum operating system requirements: Android 7.0.
  • Installing the app using the APK file requires enabling the "Unknown Sources" option in Settings > Applications.
