One of the dangers of using social networks is how these platforms treat our data. Facebook, Twitter and other similar applications use the information we provide them for their own benefit, we don't really know what they do with it and how it affects our privacy.

A social network that strengthens user privacy

MeWe intends to become a social network as popular and dynamic as the above, but without bothering anyone with ads and without spying on its users. That's why one of the most important aspects in the development of this app is security. These are the main features offered:

• Approval status updated with images, videos and GIF animations.
• Share your posts with specific groups.
• Respond to each post with likes and emoticons.
• Privately share fleeting content with others.
• Control who can view your publications thanks to available privacy options.
• Chat privately with any contact, or with multiple contacts at once or in a group, regardless of whether they are mobile or desktop users.

The question here is whether there is room for another social network and whether any newcomer is capable of overthrowing Facebook. We'll just have to wait and see.
