Recover files deleted from your smartphone

Recovering files deleted from an Android phone is now possible thanks to an app of the likes of Undeleter. It's able to examine both the internal memory of our device and our memory cards and is compatible with many different formats.

Requires a rooted device

That's the only downside of this application: we need superuser permissions to make it work. If we do not have these, we can only examine the images found. With a rooted Android we can scan the different storage units on our smartphone or tablet and recover the following types of files:

• Images in the following formats: JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF...
• call logs.
• Conversation via instant messaging and chat applications such as WhatsApp or Viber.
• SMS messages.
• Zipped files.
• videos.
• PDF documents.
• audio files.

In addition, it also comes with a secure eraser that can permanently erase files from any type of device.
