Google Family Link for children & teenagers is the Family Link parenting app that can be installed on a children's mobile phone to monitor their activity.

Google's parental control app

Family Link is a diverse system of Android applications that Google intends to introduce a parental control system to allow parents to control their children's Internet activities through their smartphones. To use this method of monitoring, parents need to install Family Link for parents on their phones and then connect them to their children's smartphones using the companion app 'Google Family Link for kids and teens'.

After installing the app, parents can create a family group and sync both devices using an alphanumeric code. This gives the producers the opportunity to encourage their innocent and not so innocent offspring to consume media appropriate to their age. They can also monitor the time their children spend online and turn the tap off when they have too much of a good thing.
